Royal Dunkeld Hotel


This project included a wood pellet installation with two 56KW wood pellet biomass boilers twinned together to serve the hotel. The boilers serve two buffer tanks and the system is split using plate heat exchangers in the basement of the hotel. This system delivers both hot water and central heating to the entire hotel.

Wood Chip Boiler for Farm Shop


The new biomass system serves the existing farm shop, the new extension of the farm shop and the main farm house. The shop and farmhouse have retained the existing boilers, as a back up system. The installation features a wood chip boiler and accumulator. In addition to the plumbing work, we also carried out all electrical work in the Plant Room.

Denfind Stone at Monikie


With a farming background and having ready access to a fuel stock, our client, Denfind Stone at Monikie was keen to use a boiler for which they could source fuel directly.

This biomass unit heats the new factory at Denfind stone and two cottages. The new unit combines the accumulator/buffer tank and the boiler itself. We also provided the underfloor heating in the factory and alterations in each cottage.

Warehouse in Glasgow


100kW wood Pellet system.

    •  Heat and domestic hot water for a warehouse
    •  Initial 12 month saving with wood pellets was £3,460 (38% saving)
    •  Initial 12 month RHI income was £11,454
    •   Total benefit in year one of £14,914
    •   Payback period of 3.4 years

Hotel in Perthshire


200kW wood Pellet system.

    •  Heat and hot water for a 30 bedroom hotel
    •  Projected 12 month saving with wood pellets is £14,300 (40% saving)
    •  Projected 12 month RHI income is £25,132
    •  Total benefit in year one of £39,432
    •  Payback period of 2.5 years *excludes system upgrades within the hotel

Farmhouse and cottages in Stirling


90kW wood chip biomass heating system.

    •  Heat and domestic hot water for farmhouse and additional cottages
    •  Initial 12 month saving with wood chip was £7,200 (72% saving)
    •  Initial 12 month RHI income was £11,870
    •  Total benefit in year one of £19,070
    •   Payback period of 3.1 years

Three domestic properties in Guildtown, Perth


150kW wood chip system.

    •  Heat and domestic hot water for three domestic properties
    •  Projected 12 month saving with wood chip is £7,884 (67% saving)
    •  Initial 12 month RHI income was £17,345
    •  Total benefit in year one of £25,229
    •  Payback period of 4.8 years
