Another update on the domestic Renewable Heat Incentive – the good news is that the Domestic biomass tariff has not been degressed and remains at 5.14p per kilowatt hour.

The non-domestic small biomass tariff will be dropped by 5% – the tier 1 tariff will be dropped to 3.62p per kilowatt hour and the tier 2 tariff drops to 0.96p per kilowatt hour.

Interest free loans of up to £10,000 from the Scottish Government are also available to owner occupiers in Scotland who wish to install a domestic renewables system or to connect to an approved district heating scheme powered by a renewable energy source – for more information see the Energy Saving Trust’s Home Energy Scotland renewables loan scheme.
